BROKER'S COMMENT

"This 2016 Moody 54 DS is an exceptional example of the model. Offered for sale by her first owner, an experienced sailor, she has been meticulously cared for and shows beautifully, with only 610 engine hours. She does not look like a typical Mediterranean yacht; rather, she has the appearance and condition of a Northern European yacht that was indoor-stored during the winter, remaining in outstanding condition and reflecting careful ownership and attention to detail.

The Moody 54 DS is highly regarded for combining the comfort and space of a catamaran with the performance and handling of a monohull. This yacht is exceptionally well equipped, offering a range of options that make life aboard both luxurious and practical. Easily handled singlehanded thanks to her sail plan with electric furling sails and winches, she also boasts spacious, elegant interiors with modern equipment throughout.

Currently flagged in Montenegro with VAT fully paid in the EU, she can be registered under the (EU) flag of the buyer’s choice without any issues. Considering her condition, specification, and handling, she represents exceptional value for the money and is a rare opportunity for anyone seeking a premium sailing experience without compromise."

OWNER'S COMMENT

"As a family from Vienna, we have enjoyed many unforgettable years sailing across the Mediterranean, exploring nearly every corner of the region and even venturing into the Red Sea.

We bought Sunshine new in 2016, and she has been a true pleasure. Her excellent sailing performance and easy handling made every voyage enjoyable, while the spacious cockpit and foredeck sunbed offered perfect spots for relaxation and socializing. Below deck, four double cabins and three bathrooms provided comfort and privacy for family and friends.

What makes Sunshine truly special is her walk-in, walk-out saloon with 360-degree panoramic views—a unique feature that brought the outdoors inside and became the heart of life on board. Combined with the owner’s suite with island berth and ensuite, this made Sunshine the perfect private retreat, blending comfort, space, and style.

As we move on to the next chapter of our lives, we will always cherish the memories made aboard Sunshine. She is more than a yacht—she is a lifestyle, and we hope her next owners will experience the same joy and freedom we have treasured."

DESCRIPTION

Boarding via the electric Besenzoni gangway, you step onto Sunshine’s generous aft deck and walk-through cockpit. The beamy cockpit, with opposing sofas, is covered by a hardtop with sliding canvas—a clever design that adapts to any weather. The cockpit table can be automatically raised or lowered to serve as a sunbed and can also be extended to accommodate a larger crew for al fresco dining.

Twin helm stations provide excellent access to sails and engine controls, making short-handed sailing effortless. Wide side-decks with secure handholds lead forward to the bow, where a sunbed offers a private retreat while at anchor.

Sliding glass doors connect the cockpit seamlessly to the main deck saloon, creating a bright, airy environment with panoramic 360-degree views. The saloon sits on the same level as deck entry, promoting a smooth flow between inside and out.

To starboard, the fully equipped galley features Corian-style counters, smart cabinetry, ample storage, and opposite a cabinet with freezer, microwave oven, and a hi-lo bar. On port, a spacious settee with adjustable table and automatic hi-lo television provides a comfortable lounge area. Adjacent is the inside helm station with full engine controls, autopilot interface, and excellent visibility, allowing comfortable passage management in any conditions.

High-quality wood finishes and carefully considered lighting enhance the interior throughout.

Below deck, the forward accommodation offers three double cabins and two bathrooms:

Forward Owner’s Suite – Bow location with centreline island bed, abundant storage, ambient lighting, en-suite head with separate shower, hull windows, and overhead hatches for light and ventilation.

Midship Guest Cabins – Two cabins with double berths, hanging lockers, and a shared bathroom with electric toilet, separate shower, and ventilation.

Aft Cabin Port side – separate access from the aft of the salon, ideal for children or additional guests, with a dedicated bathroom.

Storage is exceptionally well thought out. The foredeck locker holds sails, lines, and gear, including the washer and dryer. The stern houses a tender garage with a hydraulic hatch that doubles as a swim platform. Under the starboard cockpit sofa is a large storage area with easy access to electrical systems. Engine room access is straightforward via a hatch in the saloon.

All systems—electrics, batteries, AC, and generator—laid out for serious cruising. Soundproofing is excellent throughout.

Sunshine is built for both luxury and performance. She features a double forestay (self-tacking jib plus large genoa), gennaker, in-mast furling mainsail, electric winches and furling, with all sail controls led back to the cockpit and helm. Bow and stern thrusters make harbour manoeuvring simple, while the elevated coach roof provides excellent visibility underway. The deck saloon allows the helmsman to remain sheltered yet fully connected to the view.

With meticulous maintenance, low engine hours, full options, and ease of handling, Sunshine represents exceptional value. She blends large-yacht comfort with monohull performance, offering a turnkey platform for cruising in style—whether relaxing at anchor or crossing seas.
